Kim Hyunjoong prepares special Pepero gifts for fans

In light of the upcoming ‘Pepero holiday’, singer Kim Hyun Joong prepared special Pepero gifts for his fans.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Pepero Day, it’s an unofficial holiday in South Korea developed by Lotte Corporation, who manufactures Pepero snacks. Pepero Day is held on November 11th since the date “11/11″ resembles four Pepero sticks. It’s practiced mainly by young couples who exchange Pepero sticks and other sweets — in other words, it’s technically like a Korean Valentines Day.

Returning to Kim Hyun Joong’s gift, several proof shots emerged online, causing envy amongst fans. The gifts were made by Kim Hyun Joong himself, who then shared them with fans at the ‘Sharing Love Concert‘ on November 6th in Seoul Olympic Stadium. The Pepero snack box contains an autograph as well as a heart-warming message.

Jealous netizens responded with, “He cares so much about his fans~“, “I want a Pepero too“, “Those fans are too lucky“, and “This is why you can’t help but love him“.

Singer / actor Kim Hyun Joong took home the ‘KIA Soul People’s Choice‘ award at the 2011 Style Icon Awards that took place on November 3rd.

The Style Icon Awards took place at the CJ E&M Center and Cha Yae Ryun, Kim Min Jun and Park Young Rin served as MCs.

Kim Hyun Joong had earned the most votes for the People’s Choice award, and it was his third consecutive award that he had been honored with at the particular event.

He stated, “I’m so glad to be able to receive this award three years in a row. If it weren’t for all my fans, I wouldn’t have been able to win this award. Thank you to all my fans.”

The event is an annual event that awards the figures that have produced the newest paradigms of style for the past year.

Why did Kim Hyunjoong buy thirty pairs of pants?

Kim Hyun Joong revealed his reasoning for buying thirty of the same pair of pants on the recent episode of ‘Strong Heart‘.

Host Lee Seung Gi commented, “I heard that you bought 30 of the same gray pants.”Kim Hyung Joong explained, “I only wear one of those pairs. I even wore them when I was coming here. I wear them every day.” Apparently, the star has similarities to famous designer Andre Kim, was known to only wear white outfits in public.

He continued, “The pants are no longer made so I even personally made some. They’re so comfortable that I gave them to everyone around me, and I only have four pairs left.” Kim Hyun Joong also brought one of his gray pants to gift to Lee Seung Gi, which the host then wore and posed in. The pants looked like simple gray sweat pants.

Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk commented, “They look like monk pants,” causing laughter among the guests.

Kim Hyunjoong confesses his attraction to Lee Min Jung

Singer Kim Hyun Joong recently filled in for Super Junior‘s Shindong on MBC Radio‘s ‘Shim Shim Tapa‘, as a radio DJ.

On October 24th, Kim Hyun Joong answered a series of questions pertaining to actress Lee Min Jung. Near the end, a staff member began streaming ‘confession background music’, which inspired the singer to leave a spontaneous message for the actress.

“Why didn’t I realize how beautiful you were back then. I guess I was too tired from working such long hours, my eyes must not have caught it,” he began. “It’s so good to see that you’re keeping busy these days, I hope that we will get to work together again sometime.”

Listeners chuckled as they commented, “Awesome message“, “She would have laughed out loud“, “You two should film something together“, and “I want this to be real!”
